Rock ‘N Learn Review & Giveaway

You may remember the review I did of the Rock ‘N Learn Getting Ready for Kindergarten and the Multiplication Rap DVDs. If not, see here. Anyway, I was a huge fan of them and their products then and I still am now. Asher still watches his “Kindergarten movie” as he calls it, a couple times a week and Riley still can’t wait for when they start Multiplication and his teacher shows it at school. In fact, the Getting Ready for Kindergarten DVD was a huge hit with my niece and my not even 2 year old second cousin who were over the other day. My second cousin never shows any interest in t.v. and yet she was captivated by that DVD, so I’d say that’s pretty good.

Well, I have two more great DVDs of theirs to tell you about…

First is the Letter Sounds DVD. Asher loves books and loves for me to read to him and always wants to read. He asks me what signs in stores say and things like that and we try to sound them out together, so this DVD is absolutely perfect for him. He walks around the house saying “Mmmmm, mmmmmm, mug. Bbbbbbbbb, bbbbbb, bug.” and other things from the DVD and they really do help him. It’s becoming another favorite of his for sure. Here’s what the website has to say about this DVD…
Cool music and fun games build excitement about learning to read. Letter Sounds covers the most common sound that each letter makes. Letter Sounds CD comes with a full-color illustrated book. Letter Sounds DVD with its “on-screen mouth” shows how to form each sound. By the end of these programs, students are combining letters to read words and even simple sentences.

Ages 4–7. Approx. 55 minutes.

The second DVD we reviewed is Division Rap. Obviously, it’s very similar to Multiplication Rap. Again, Riley is all about it and is very excited that he will have a headstart on learning division. How can I not be happy about that? Here’s what the website has to say about this DVD…
Kids of all ages love learning division by performing along with D.J. Doc Roc. Positive lyrics, cool rap music, and high-energy action generate lots of excitement as students learn to solve division facts quickly and accurately. With these fun songs, kids discover what division is all about, solve story problems, use remainders, and even work long division problems.

Ages 8 & up. Approx. 55 minutes.

So, needless to say, I am still a HUGE fan of Rock ‘N Learn and highly recommend them. I’m also very excited to tell you that they have offered to give a DVD to 2 of my readers again! 1. The DVD Getting Ready for Kindergarten looks like a great way to help my boys learn. I have three boys age 7 months, 2 1/2 and my oldest just turned 5. I would love to win the Letter Sounds DVD for them since we recently had to cancel cable they have not been able to watch anything new latly. Thanks for the chance.
